The Inn on Negley is a luxury 8-room inn located in Pittsburgh’s historic Shadyside neighborhood. It was built in 1884 by a chaplain and sold as a home to a prominent industrialist and his family. The family lived in the house for more than 70 years. The home is unique for its unusual combination of Italianate and Victorian elements. The transitional design reflects both the popular-but-fading Italianate style, and elements of the emerging Queen Anne style. The home’s relatively simple, front gabled form was one of several shapes in which Italianate homes were often built.
What makes your business unique?
Our high tea has become a local favorite and a beloved attraction for visitors since the Inn opened. Our high tea service is styled after the traditional teas of the British isles, as well as more contemporary repasts from tea rooms across America and Europe. Tea is held in either our Victorian dining rooms, or outside on our beautiful deck. You will find an extensive selection of classic and seasonal teas and tisanes from around the globe.

Locals can enjoy high tea, breakfast and brunch by calling to make reservations. Our first floor can also be rented out for private events.
